You might, then, be able to get a Lexmark driver to recognize your Dell as one of its own. Unfortunately, the Lexmark that the 964 is apparently derived from, the x8350, does not offer Mac drivers.

Thanks Hello. In order to use the printer with your iOS devices, please make sure that the units are all connected to the same WI-Fi router. Once this has been done you should be able to print. I assume yes.? A wireless printer connects to the network just like your computer, or iPhone/iPad, etc. Connects using wireless. The printer must be set up intially to scan to 'find' available wireless networks, then your specific wireless network needs to be selected. Then the password for the network needs to be entered.
Once the printer is configured to join the network, it is always connected to the network. No further configuration is required.

We implemented the How To. Web Printing with Microsoft Excel in BW 3.5. We have upgraded a test box to 7.0 ( 2004s ) and the functionality is no longer working. We have buttons in our web templates which call the help service and when they are clicked nothing happens. An example of the code we are using is: ' Have other folks successfully continued to use this functionality in 2004s? Best way is to use an AirPrint compatible printer: If your printer is not AirPrint compatible, you might want to take a look at Printopia. Using Dell printer with imac? Very questionable, most of them only have drivers for Windows. I'd suggest looking at Printer and scanner software 10.6.x and see if your Dell is on the list. If yes then you're OK, if not time to replace it.

Also, just throwing this out there, this runs on a 12v 1A DC power supply, and the one they sell for this model (either with the full package or separately) is just more expensive than it should be. For several years I have owned a group of three Dell 1703FP monitors which date from about 2004 or so. Presently I have two of them connected to a Dell Optiplex GX620, itself another relic from the mid-2000s, running Bunsen Labs Linux (a successor to the lightweight Crunchbang project). This equipment is set up on a desk in my bedroom. I was initially using some cheap putty-colored Labtec speakers to provide sound, but repurposed those for a Mac mini that I had added to the mix.
I just needed an inexpensive speaker to provide a 'Business Audio' level of sound (as Dell used to call their internal speaker option back in the day). Some hunting on Amazon led me to this Dell AX510 speaker setup. I didn't see '1703FP' specifically mentioned in the item description, but this panel model is classified as an UltraSharp, and on the back of the unit I noticed a power receptable and molded plastic clips that would indeed allow fitment of a soundbar-type speaker. After looking closely at the pictures and then closely at the monitor, I figured for $14 I could take a chance. Upon receiving the speaker, I was pleased to find that it was a perfect fit for my monitor (see picture). The speaker snapped right in and the power cord fit as well. When I turned on the unit (via the dial on the right side that also acts as a volume knob), a white LED in the center of the speaker behind the grill (see picture) indicates that the speaker has power.
If I turn the monitor itself off, the speaker powers off as well. Audio response was more than adequate for my needs, which is mainly limited to listening to the occasional YouTube video or listening for default alert sounds generated by the operating system. I'm not an audiophile, and folks who are looking for pounding bass are advised to invest in a multi-speaker setup that includes a subwoofer. What I like best about the speaker is how it cleanly integrates with the monitor and takes up no desk space (which is important if your desk is small). It also has two 3.5mm audio jacks on the left side to allow one to connect headphones for private listening. It's a great value-my only regret is that I didn't buy this speaker many years ago!
My wife and I often do professional photo editing and I had an older Dell UltraSharp monitor that I gave to her when I recently upgraded to a larger monitor. Desiring a clean look to her desk space, my wife did not want to keep her traditional 'computer speakers', but she still needed a decent sound solution for listening to lectures, watching videos, playing her puzzle games and listening to background music while she works. After some research, I found this Dell AX510 speaker mentioned in the owners manual for the monitor and found it here at a surprisingly great price!
The speaker mounted cleanly to the underside of the monitor, keeping her desk clean and clear, and connected to her computer's sound source without an issue. The speaker is low profile and largely unnoticeable, which she really likes. The sound quality isn't stellar in my book, but I have a large pair of reference monitors on my desk for music work, so I may be biased.
That said, the little Dell speaker gets decently loud and has a nice tonal balance for being such a small package. Definitely better than my Acer laptop with its built-in 'Dolby Home Theater' system. The Dell speaker bar sounds better than most sub-20-dollar computer speakers I've tried, as well. Volume is easy to adjust with the large knob on the side and a small light appears to let you know the speaker is on. The features are sparse, but that makes it a great plug-and-play solution. All in all, the AX510 is a great value for the price and would fit the needs of most casual users with Dell monitors who may be looking to save desk space without sacrificing acceptable sound.
Highly recommended! Wow, shockingly good for all of $11. This thing won't rattle your windows or anything but that's not what it's for. I got it so I could have sound through the display port from my computer when I don't feel like using my big speakers or when I'm at LAN Parties.
I'm basically always listening to music while doing stuff at my desk. I was surprised at the deeper tones this little speaker could make. They are far from tinny.
If anything they are hair on the muddy side. It seems that's the only way to make cheap speakers have a little more bass to them. They aren't tinny by any means. They are certainly better than what you would find built into most monitors.
They snapped on perfectly to my Dell Ultrasharp U2913WM ultra wide monitor (with the built in clips) and simply run off the power that the monitor provides. They have a long audio cable, but I just bundled up the wire and use the twist tie they came with that kept the audio cable bundled up in the box to secure the excess wire to the little loop on the right side of the speaker and plug into the audio out on the monitor. They have a not too bright white LED right in the center, a smooth volume control on the right side and dual headphone ports on the left side, that I haven't tried. So yeah if you have a compatible monitor these are great for the price.
I suppose if you have a 12v power source you could use this little speaker bar as a stand alone speaker, but there are probably better options than that. Very easy installation and setup for my Dell UltraSharp Monitor (Model #U2913WM) used with a Dell Inspiron 17R laptop. This is not the speaker for you if listening to music is your primary goal.

This functions best for listening to people speak (interviews, webcasts, instructional, etc.) but it is just okay for YouTube music videos. More than met my expectation at a very reasonable price. Make sure you check if this is compatible for your monitor before ordering and you'll be happy if it is. I especially like that it is powered through the monitor. OK, so first I just have to chuckle at the fact that I ordered the monitor on Friday, it was delivered on Sunday. Then Sunday afternoon I ordered this speaker, and it arrived on Monday. Couldn't have been easier to mount on my U2412M.
Not counting cable management, I got it unboxed, installed to the monitor, plugged in and working in less than 2 minutes. My only real 'issues' is that it could use some better bass.but honestly? And for the $11.70 I paid for it, it's a damn good piece.

The plastic is a slightly different color black/sheen/texture that the monitor, but not by much. The easy-to-access and turn volume knob is nice, as is the mic and headphone jacks on the other side.
Some of the reviews mention the white LED line running up and down the center of the unit, behind the grill, and behind a diffuser. I will say that's way less bright than the power LED on my other Viewsonic monitor.but I would have been fine without the light, or maybe a tiny one the size of one grill hole. Cheap, sounds pretty darned good for it's size, useful features, attractive, and couldn't-be-easier installation.
What more could you ask for? Would I pay $20 more for a bit more bass? Yes.but even then, this would still work well-enough for most people, I think. I had to replace some very old stereo computer speakers that failed, and I wanted something that took up little desk space.
Since I use a Dell 2412 monitor at work, I saw that this little soundbar would attach to the monitor and take up little space. It mounts easily to the bottom of this monitor and plugs into a dedicated power port. Pros: very minimal space usage, doesn't interfere with the use of the monitor at all; ten-second installation time; easy to use volume/power knob on right side; LED power-on light in middle of speaker.
The sound quality is quite acceptable for listening to voicemail, short videos, and music when richness of sound isn't necessary. Cons: limited bass; limited stereo separation. Cost: bought this refurbished (really 'open box') from Amazon Marketplace for less than the cost of my lunch sandwich, chips and drink. As is mentioned repeatedly on this product's listing - it does not contain a power supply. These speakers are designed specifically to attach to a supported Dell display and get power from that display. This is exactly what I was looking for and they work great.
I've got them attached to a Dell P2411H display. Power plugs directly into the monitor and there's a 3.5mm plug for sound. There's a dial on the right side of the speakers to turn them on/off and control the volume. On the left side of the speakers there's two 3.5mm headphone jacks.
There's a white power light right in the middle of the speakers. It isn't blindingly bright. It isn't that distracting.
But it does seem un-necessarily obvious. An interesting side-effect of drawing power from the display is that the speakers lose power when the display is turned off or asleep. This means that if your display goes to sleep due to inactivity, you lose your sound too. Sound quality is good, but not amazing. Better than I've gotten from USB-powered speakers in the past. Better than the speakers on my laptop.
Not as good as I could get with some quality headphones or more-expensive speakers. Definitely good for the price though. Got this sound bar for a Dell 2007FP monitor, circa 2005. Paid $8 shipped. The seller was Adorsales. Got the sound bar in 2 days via Prime shipping.
The sound bar clips right to the bottom of the monitor via two build-in tabs. There are two wires coming out of the sound bar; one for the 3.5mm jack on your computer and the other is the power cable for the sound bar. The power cable connects directly to the Dell 2007FP monitor. To turn the sound bar on, simply rotate the knob located on its right edge. A light turns on in the middle of the sound bar to indicate that it's powered on. Sound quality is as good as, if not better than, any build-in speakers on the modern monitors.
And it's loud!:) Pros: - Cheap. Easy setup. Clips right onto the Dell 2007FP monitor. Comes with power cable that connects directly to my Dell 2007FP monitor; doesn't require a separate power brick. Decent sound.
Cons: - Should have gotten it 10 years ago. If you have one of those Dell monitors listed in the item description and are thinking about getting a set of speakers for your PC, treat yourself to something nice and spend the $8!:). Wow what a great sound bar.

I bought the monitor thinking it had built in speakers.I was wrong. So I went to amazon and found this sound bar for the monitor. Unfortunatley I didn't make sure the power adapter came with it so I had to wait another two days after putting the sound bar on to discover what a great little piece of equipment this is. A few people have said the sound isn't good and its tinny, well not my experience. Its perfectly clear and boy is it loud!!!!
I daren't turn it up all the way I think I might blow the windows out. I have it barely turned up and its perfect, I can hear it from the other side of the room. Now usually with separate speakers there tends to be a two to three second lag so it looks like your watching a foreign movie that has been dubbed over in English which can be very annoying, there is no lag here at all everything is in perfect sync. I love this sound bar and it sounds awesome. If you have a Dell SR2220L I strongly recommend this sound bar, it looks great it sits flush at the bottom of the monitor and the little light in the middle of it gives it a bit of style, the knob for the sound is descreetly hidden on the side of the sound bar so its barely noticeable. A very nice design in my opinion, and an awesome addition to your monitor.I cant stand those separate speakers that have 400' of stupid wires that you have to untangle and make sure you don't knock them flying or you just think look stupid so you try to hide, they also take up too much desk space in my opinion, but that's me I don't like my desktop with things all over it. A few words of advice though.make sure you get the power adapter with it, don't do what I did and just order the soundbar, it wont work without it, I can guarantee that.
