Dsc-hx300 Software For Mac
Posted : admin On 22.10.2019Is there a limit to the amount of memory on a memory card the camera can access? Twice now I've been out taking photos and when I get home find the first 3.25GB of photos are read fine without problem but the rest come up with a message saying Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because either Photo Viewer doesn't support this format or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Viewer. I've just installed Photo Viewer so expect it should be up to date Formats are the same as all the others which work just fine, all JPEGs Getting very frustrated as I bought 3 32GB cards for upcoming holiday and wont have an option to download or time to delete rubbish so went for over kill!!! Zoom like a pro with this 50x zoom camera and forget changing lenses. The HX300 also allows you take 720p movies in high definition & 30 frames per second.
Try using the PMH Program that came with your camera. Or just call up the card through a card slot or card viewer and look at them through the computer's built-in program. ScanDisk 32gb SD the small (micro?) card that is in an adapter can't remember if formated in camera or PC I've downloaded the files to the PC hard drive using the Sony software provided I've also put the SD card directly into the PC and copied direct and I get the same error whenever I try to view. With the card in the camera you also cant see them in display mode. My last guess if there is no reason for the size of SD card to cause problems then it must be formatting issue with the card. If that is the case do I risk formatting the card again or just bin it. Need to get used to this forum, thought I was replying to both msgs above ScanDisk 32gb SD the small (micro?) card that is in an adapter can't remember if formated in camera or PC I've downloaded the files to the PC hard drive using the Sony software provided I've also put the SD card directly into the PC and copied direct and I get the same error whenever I try to view.

I've had the older model DSC HX200 for a few years using a 64 GB SDXC memory card.
The SDXC card needs to be formatted in the camera. The SD'X'C memory cards are not compatible with some older computer hardware. I needed to get an external USB memory card reader that supports SDXC. I just bought a new DSC HX300 and seems to be the same. If that is the case do I risk formatting the card again or just bin it I use Sony SDHC 32 GB cards, not the micro but the regular size cards. I download the jpegs using a Firewire 800 card reader because it's faster than USB 2.0. I do not use the Sony software for this.
And once I download the day's shooting I always format the card in the camera before resuming shooting. That makes sure you have a good format with each batch. I've several of these cards and they have worked fine with three generations of the HX cameras, the HX200V, HX300 and currently the HX400V. I have a number of the micro cards in 64 GB and they will interface fine with the camera. I've those cards to use with a Garmin Virb Elite video camera. They are Sandisk cards.
Now, I am using a mac and view the photos mostly with GraphicConverter for a quick look and for PP use mostly Photoshop. The HX400V also will interface with my iPad which can remotely control it. To set that up you do have to get Play Memories Mobile App for the iPad. Then you can get the photos to your iPad. Not sure, but I suspect your problems are in the software you loaded on the computer, or maybe that you did not format the card in the camera. I do not use that software.

It is available with or without the built-in GPS functionality. It has the same range found on the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS and the Fujifilm FinePix SL1000, but the Sony's apertures are wider at both ends (though just marginally more so than the SL1000's), making it a bit better in low light than the Canon, at least at the wide end. The DSC-HX300 can be identified by either looking at the product label, located on the bottom of the device; or by reading the model name printed on the top of the camera near the view finder.
